THE FOUNDER

about-jennifer-morris.jpg (1).png

Jen Morris has taught group exercise classes and personal training in the greater Plymouth, NH area since 1995 at various gyms, workplace programs, and at events. She was co-founder of “Simply Fit” a group exercise studio in Campton, NH from 1998-2002. In 2005, she went on to coordinate group exercise programming at the Hartman Union Building at Plymouth State University and continued her teaching there while she started her own outdoor bootcamp fitness business.  In 2005, Jen began practicing yoga and teaching poses in her toddler age son’s classrooms. Inspired by yoga and its beneficial mind/body effects, she began to search out more classes for herself and became serious in her practice.

In October, 2013 Jen was diagnosed with breast cancer. Yoga, hiking, and support from family and friends helped her make a full recovery and thrive.  In 2017 Jen studied with Katie O’Connell, at Dragonfly Yoga Barn, Studio and Retreat in Sandwich, NH, and graduated a 200 RYT  (Registered Yoga Teacher) through Yoga Alliance. Her training roots are grounded in BKS Iyengar.   Her teaching interests are:  Slow Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative yoga.  She completed her 300hr yoga teacher certification in November, 2021 through Dragonfly Yoga Barn and Studio, with a 75 hour concentration in Restorative Yoga, and now has over 35 hours of Yin Yoga training.

When she isn’t teaching or working full-time in oncology for a biotech company in Cambridge, MA, you can find her cooking up something delicious from her garden, hanging with her family and friends, hiking in the White Mountains with her beagle, Leo, biking to the grocery store on her Xtracycle, or  hanging with her girl posse.  Jen spends her summers hiking in the Whites or paddle-boarding on local lakes and ponds, and her winters Nordic and alpine skiing.
